Education that Remembers
Discover a classical education rooted in the Trivium, inspired by history, rooted in what works.

About Our Cottage School
We are a hybrid cottage school that partners with families to develop children both academically and spiritually. Our aim is to cultivate strong minds and faithful hearts by discipling students in God’s Word while they grow in knowledge and skill.
As a classical school, we place a special emphasis on the study of Latin and the great works of Western civilization. Learning Latin trains the mind in a unique way, sharpening memory, logic, and language so that students grow stronger in every other subject. Through classical languages and the Greek and Roman classics, students are invited into a rich heritage of wisdom that has shaped the Christian tradition for centuries.
Unlike many modern approaches, classical education begins by giving students the tools for deep thinking and understanding. We want our students to know their classical Christian heritage, to love what is true, good, and beautiful, and to see all of learning in the light of God’s Word.
Why a 2-day School Week?
Cottage schools are schools that meet less than five days a week. This model efficiently uses classroom time during school hours, enables parental involvement in the student’s education, and maximizes the family’s role in shaping the child’s faith and character.
Invested teachers provide academic instruction in core academic subjects two school days a week. Students complete the balance of the work on the three home days. Parental engagement varies depending on the age of the student. Parents prioritize time at home for reading, homework, and other educational pursuits.
Our Curriculum
1
Classical Core
Students are grounded in the core subjects of reading, writing, math, history, and science through a classical lens. We emphasize strong language skills, rich literature, and careful attention to detail so that students learn to think clearly and communicate well.
2
Latin & Classical Languages
Latin is central to our program because it uniquely trains the mind. As students study and memorize Latin, they grow in logic, vocabulary, and understanding of grammar, which strengthens every other subject. Classical languages open a doorway into the wisdom of the past.
3
Great Books & Christian Heritage
Through the great works of Western civilization, students encounter big ideas, noble stories, and the foundations of our classical Christian heritage. We read and discuss these works in the light of God’s Word, helping students love what is true, good, and beautiful.
